ISIT 310 — Routing and Switching in the Enterprise (5 cr)
Familiarizes students with the equipment, applications and protocols installed in enterprise networks, with a focus on switched networks, IP Telephony requirements, and security. Students are introduced to the design, security and configuration of basic switched networks, VLANs and to the concepts of routing, router configuration. Advanced routing protocols such as Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Protocol are investigated. Recommended: IS 262 or equivalent.
